Once Upon A Time
I think a lot about you. I dream of you often. I wonder whether life worked out for you.
But wait- I am certain it did because I know of none that deserve happiness and success more.
I wonder whether you remember our days together.
Laughing over popcorn and a cheesy movie; crying on one another’s shoulders;ewwwing over suitors come knocking; groaning over Statistical Mathematical Economics; agonising over graduation outfits.
Later whining about starting salaries, vetoing prospective husbands, then…Tears at the airport, hugs and promises.
Only… Only life got in the way; and now I talk to you, confide in you like I used to only from the comfort of my sleep state. I laugh for your joys and cry for your sorrows.
I tell my children about you; praying they will be fortunate enough themselves to find friends, soulmates, selfless people like I did.
Just know we might have lost touch, separated by continents and oceans, but you are still close to my heart.
I pray, too, that someday, soon, we will meet again.
I salute you, my dearest friends.
