THAT SMALL PIECE OF BONELESS FLESH…….
The HUMAN HEART is an organ that PUMPS BLOOD throughout the body via the CIRCULATORY SYSTEM, supplying OXYGEN and NUTRIENTS to the TISSUES and removing CARBON DIOXIDE and other WASTES. But when you say the word ‘THINK’ most of us point to our HEADS, right? HOW MANY of us point to our HEARTS when we say “THINK?” One of the FUNCTIONS of the heart is ta’aqqul (UNDERSTANDING). God Almighty gave us the heart to COMPREHEND, to REFLECT, and to REASON, besides pumping blood to other parts of the body.
The ARROGANT PHILOSOPHERS say that the MIND is in the BRAIN; they may want to read a little more. To BELIEVE, to DISBELIEVE, to UNDERSTAND, to COMPREHEND, to have TRANQUILITY, to feel CONFUSION, to have tawakkul ( TRUST), and to have FEAR of the Almighty are ALL FUNCTIONS of your heart. So WHAT do you DO with YOUR HEART? What is your heart ATTACHED TO? Is it attached to your BIG HOUSE, your CLEAN and DIRTY MONEY, your favorite WIVES, or to those SPECIAL MOMENTS you SPEND SHARING the spiritual nourishment with others? Remember that the ONLY ONE GUARANTEED real SALVATION, is the one with a HEART DEVOTED to God Almighty.
The heart that PUSHES its companion until he TURNS to GOD and REPENTS. It DOESN’T grows TIRED of His WORSHIP. If it MISSES out on an ACT of CHARITY and OBEDIENCE, it FEELS a PAIN that is more SEVERE than the pain a STINGY FELLOW feels when he LOSES MONEY. It finds SWEETNESS and DELIGHT in worship greater than any delight from FOOD and DRINK. Work on your heart MORE and LESS on your FLESH. It’s under PERMANENT SURVEILLANCE by God Almighty. FIX IT PLEASE.
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Verily Allah does not look to your faces and your wealth but He looks to your heart and to your deeds.
